APPLEBEE'S INTERNATIONAL, INC. INTERNATIONAL FRANCHISEE INFORMATION PRIVACY STATEMENT

This Privacy Statement applies only to the information collected at the following section of the Applebee's web site: www.applebees.com pertaining to potential international franchisees of Applebee's International, Inc. (the "International Franchisee Section"). The terms of this Privacy Statement are in addition to the terms of any general Privacy Statement applicable to information collected at other areas of the Applebee's web site. In the event of a conflict between such policies, if any, the terms of this Privacy Policy shall apply to information gathered at the International Franchisee Section. Applebee's recognizes and respects your right to privacy. We are committed to maintaining standards to ensure that your non-public personal information ("Personal Information") is private and secure and that you are informed regarding how we use your Personal Information and to whom it is disclosed. We reserve the right to change this Privacy Statement from time to time, consistent with applicable privacy laws. If you become an Applebee's International, Inc. franchisee, this Privacy Statement will not be applicable and your rights concerning Applebee's International, Inc.'s use of Personal Information collected after that date will be governed by the terms of the development agreement and/or franchise agreement between the parties.

COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect, retain and use information about you for the purpose of evaluating you as a potential franchisee, and where we reasonably believe that it will help administer our business or provide products, services and other opportunities to you. We collect and retain Personal Information about you only for the business purposes specified herein. In addition to the uses set forth above, we use Personal Information to administer records, accounts and funds; to comply with certain laws and regulations, including the laws in the United States; to help us design or improve our marketing, products and services; and to make business decisions regarding franchisees.

In the course of our business, we may collect Personal Information about you from the following sources:

• From online applications, franchise agreements, contracts, or other forms we receive from you or your authorized representative(s);
• From your transactions with, or from the services being performed by, us, our affiliates or others;
• From the public records maintained by governmental entities that we either obtain directly from those entities, or from our affiliates or others; and
• From consumer or other reporting agencies.

PROTECTION OF CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We maintain reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access or intrusion. Access to your Personal Information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information. When we use the services of third parties, we require those vendors or suppliers to agree in writing to maintain similar standards of conduct regarding the privacy and confidentiality of personally identifiable information.

RIGHT TO ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND ABILITY TO CORRECT ERRORS OR REQUEST CHANGE OR DELETION

Upon your request, you have the right to access your Personal Information and to find out to whom your Personal Information has been disclosed. You also have the right to request correction, amendment or deletion of your Personal Information. We will respond to your request within 30 days after receipt of the request, or notify you that an additional 30 days' extension of time may be required to respond. We reserve the right to charge a minimal fee to cover the costs incurred in responding to such requests.
